Festival en Chanson de Petite-Vallée, Petite-Vallée and Grande-Vallée, June 28 to July 7, 2018
Welcoming over 15,000 festival-goers every year, the Petite-Vallée song festival takes place in an enchanting site that provides an intimate experience with the artists. Although the festival’s usual venue, the Théâtre de la Vieille Forge, was destroyed in a fire last year, the event will go on in the same location under a big tent set up on a point that overlooks the sea. The festival organizers have a knack for catching talent on the way up and will introduce you to promising up-and-coming artists. The eclectic program also includes seasoned performers from across Québec: this summer, come and listen to Marie-Pierre Arthur and Klô Pelgag (both from Gaspésie), as well as Louis-Jean Cormier, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Marjo and Philippe Brach.

Until recently, this event, which takes place in a small village of 340 inhabitants, was a well-guarded secret. However, more and more well-known musicians and fans are talking about it! Launched in 2009 to mark the 100th anniversary of the village’s agricultural fair, the Shigawake Music Festival offers an eclectic and high-quality line-up in a friendly and intimate atmosphere. Over the years, many folk, country, indie rock and other musicians have performed at the festival, including the Barr Brothers and Patrick Watson.
