Gaspésie: The best of snowshoeing and skiing!

Snowshoe and cross-country ski enthusiasts ˗̶̶ get ready! Winter is far from over in Gaspésie! Even the month of March can be counted on as one of the best to enjoy. The amount of snow is incredible and the spring sun warms the tip of the nose. Here are some favorite places not to be missed!

A large playground that allows for a short getaway, or a multi-day snowshoe or cross-country ski hike with overnight stay in a shelter. Village Grande Nature Chic-Chocs : Located between sea and mountains, 19 km south of Cap-Chat and 400 m above sea level, Village Grande Nature Chic-Chocs is an exceptional holiday resort. Outdoor lovers can enjoy beautiful landscapes for cross-country skiing, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Hosting in Canadian or Scandinavian inns and cottages and catering offered.

Forillon National Park:Forillon National Park is not officially open in the winter, but thanks to a team of volunteers coordinated by the Comité de l’entrepôt de L’Anse-au-Griffon, cross-country ski trails are maintained there. The trail La Vallée is 9.2 km and the Portage Trail is 20 km. You can also fatbike (rentals available) and of course snowshoe. Who needs marked trails? Powder snow, it’s perfect! Station touristique Pin Rouge A downhill ski resort, Pin Rouge also offers 21 km of cross-country ski trails of all levels as well as several snowshoe trails on the banks of the Petite-Cascapédia River.
