The microbreweries not to be missed during your next trip to Gaspésie:

La Fabrique, Matane
Taste la République, a refreshing beer to drink for any occasion. Blonde and light, it is perfect for hot summer days. Its name comes from the hope of a country that is not one, as Gilles Vigneault would say.

Microbrasserie Le Malbord, Sainte-Anne-des-Monts
La Collin, Irish red beer, brought attention to this microbrewery. This beer is inspired by an adventurous man, Léon Colin, a fisherman. A storyteller in his spare time, Collin brought the folk tales of Haute-Gaspésie to life as this beer will help you discover its unique character.

Microbrasserie Pit Caribou, Percé
La lollipop of Pit Caribou was crowned best beer of the festival Bières et Saveurs de Chambly 2015 at the Concours Grande Brasse. Consider yourself very lucky if you can get your hands on this delicious sour pink beer, with its lemon, strawberry and raspberry aromas. Otherwise, a pint of Blanche de Pratto, with its accent of coriander and citrus should satisfy you.

Microbrasserie Le Naufrageur, Carleton-sur-Mer
Do not miss the À la Bourdages beer, a strawberry amber made from a light must, fermented on a mixture of yeast and strawberry pulp used in the making of L’Alexis, an apéritif/digestif of strawberries from Ferme Bourdages Tradition in Saint-Siméon. Available all summer, and delicious to enjoy on a terrace on a hot day!

Along the way, be sure to discover gourmet treasures, meet the artisans behind these delicacies, and learn more about their methods, their profession and the Gaspésie! Discover territories as unique and authentic as the fruits of the labour of local brewers. Opened in Gaspé in the spring, visit the new micro-distillery O’Dwyer Micro-Distillerie Gaspésienne, which produces the Radoune Gin flavored with forest mushrooms picked in the area.
